This is a wierd, non-convex geometrical figure, with nine points evenly spaced from their neighbors. Although this shape looks quite irregular from many viewpoints, all the edges are actually the same length - measure some to check it out. View3 shows that the vertices all fall on points in a square grid; turn on "XYZ point" under the Tools menu and click on vertices to get their coordinates (the central blue vertex is at the origin and all edges = 2.0).
This arrangement represents the relationships of sequences of length 2 where each position has three possible values. Those values are shown in the figure by color for position 1 and ball size for position 2.
